Join us for a scenic drive along the historic Shaftesbury Trail and a crossing on the Shaftesbury Ferry, one of only six operating ferries in Alberta. From there, we will venture into Peace River Wildlands Provincial Park to explore some of the most breathtaking viewpoints overlooking the Smoky River.
This guided 8 km ridgeline hike features multiple lookout points and sweeping valley views as we search for early spring crocuses in bloom. Led by Sharon Krushel—author of Mother Earth, talented photographer, and respected plant and animal expert of the Peace Region—this experience offers rich insight into local flora and fauna. Guests are encouraged to ask questions and learn as they hike through one of the region’s most stunning landscapes.
