Historic Dunvegan Hike – Dunvegan Overlook Trail
Time: 9:30am
If you book transportation the shuttle will leave at 9:30am from the Peace River Adventures Campground. If you do not need transportation everyone will meet at the Dunvegan Overlook Trail at 10:30am.
Location: Dunvegan Overlook Trail
To access the trail, follow signage to Dunvegan Provincial Park. Once you arrive at Township Road 801A, stay right and head under the Dunvegan Bridge. There is a well marked parking lot 200 meters after the bridge. Washrooms are also available in the parking lot.
Length: A 1.4 km out-and-back hike that is short but challenging. Expect very steep terrain and sections of loose dirt, making this a physically demanding route despite the short distance. Proper footwear is strongly recommended.

After the hike, enjoy time exploring Historic Dunvegan Provincial Park and/or the Dunvegan Market Gardens, soaking in the area’s rich history and local charm.
This guided experience is led by Sharon Krushel—author of Mother Earth, talented photographer, and respected plant and animal expert of the Peace Region—who will share fascinating insights into the local flora and fauna. Guests are encouraged to ask questions and learn as they hike through one of the region’s most beautiful and historically significant landscapes.
